Professional Background
Matt Troia serves as Assistant General Counsel for Weitzman, one of the largest retail-focused commercial real estate services firms based in Texas. In this position, Troia utilizes his significant experience in real estate financing, private equity and corporate law including the formation of corporations, limited liability companies and limited partnership, and the drafting and negotiation of JV agreements and leases.
Prior to joining Weitzman, Troia was Senior Counsel, Real Estate, for Sonder Inc., and was previously an associate in the real estate practice group of a large global law firm.
Education
Troia received a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in Charlottesville, Virginia. He also received a Master of Architecture degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.
