DALLAS—Weitzman has been named retail leasing agent for Plaza of the Americas, the iconic mixed-use project located in downtown Dallas and located at 600-700 N. Pearl Street at San Jacinto Street.
Giovanni Scardino and Addison Gragson with Weitzman are the project’s retail leasing agents.
The retail space in Plaza of the Americas totals more than 132,000 square feet on two levels adjacent to an urban garden in the project’s soaring 13-story atrium. All told, Plaza of the Americas incorporates more than 1 million square feet in two 25-story office towers, the 416-room Marriott City Center Hotel and the retail component.
Plaza of the Americas’ prime location makes it one of the most visible and accessible properties in downtown, within walking distance of the Dallas Arts District and Klyde Warren Park. The Pearl Street DART Station located curbside at Plaza of the Americas South Tower is the light-rail line’s first stop from North Dallas, Plano and Garland. The retail space also serves a daytime population of approximately 100,000 within a one-mile radius.
The retail at Plaza of the Americas includes a number of restaurants, including Freshii, Social Chicken, Salata, McDonald’s, Broadway Pizza and others, as well as shops and services.
“The Weitzman leasing team is working with both traditional retailers and restaurant users, who can benefit from a highly visible, beautiful location surrounded by some of downtown’s most popular destinations such as the Dallas Arts District and Klyde Warren Park, as well as the population of downtown workers, residents and visitors,” Kaplan said.
