Hummus Republic to open first Texas location

FLOWER MOUND—Hummus Republic Modern Mediterranean Kitchen, a fast-casual restaurant providing flavorful, healthy and primarily plant-based Mediterranean cuisine, has leased a 1,600-square-foot endcap space at The Highlands, a high-profile Tom Thumb-anchored community center located at the southwest corner of FM 407 and Morris Road.

 Giovanni Scardino and Stephen Wise with Weitzman handled negotiations as leasing agents for the landlord, Pine Tree, LLC. Scott Smith and Korey Silverman with Weitzman represented the restaurant.

Hummus Republic, founded in 2013, currently has locations in California, Ohio, Massachusetts, Virginia and Washington state.

The Highlands serves the affluent Flower Mound and Highland Village trade areas. Anchored by leading grocer Tom Thumb, the center offers a neighborhood-oriented mix of shops, restaurants and services. The Highlands offers visibility and access at the intersection of two key thoroughfares and serves a fast-growing and affluent trade area. Within a three-mile radius, the trade area reports 78,501 residents and 28,173 households with an average household income of approximately $137,000.
