Professional Background
Michael Schoenbrun is City Partner in charge of development for the San Antonio office of Weitzman. In this position, Schoenbrun is responsible for overseeing Weitzman’s San Antonio office’s daily operations, including development, property management, asset management, acquisitions and new business development. Since joining Weitzman, Schoenbrun has been directly involved in the development, re-development and acquisition of approximately 2.9 million square feet of retail properties. Weitzman currently is responsible for a portfolio totaling approximately 2.6 million square feet of retail space in San Antonio and South Texas. In San Antonio, Schoenbrun works with David Nicolson, President of the San Antonio office for brokerage.
Prior to joining Weitzman's San Antonio office, Schoenbrun was vice president of development with the company’s Austin office, which he joined in 1999. Prior to joining the firm, Schoenbrun was a Vice President for Chase Bank of Texas Realty Advisors, where he managed Chase's Real Estate Mezzanine Finance Product.

Schoenbrun is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Real Estate Council of San Antonio where he has served on the Executive Committee.
Education
Schoenbrun received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
