BAILEY TO
DIRECT WEITZMAN INVESTMENT SALES
IN CENTRAL TEXAS, THE VALLEY
AUSTIN—Bradley Bailey, a commercial real estate professional with a
record of sales force management and retail investment sales success, has been
named Senior Vice President and Director of Investment Sales for Central Texas
and The Valley for The Weitzman Group, one of the leading commercial/retail
brokerage services firms in Texas.
Bailey will work with Lance Morris, president of The Weitzman Group in Austin,
and David Nicolson, president of Weitzman’s San Antonio office. Both Morris
and Nicolson have extensive investment sales experience in Texas.
“While we have had much success in selling shopping centers, development land,
ground leases and single-tenant retail buildings, we are by and large in the
leasing business. Having someone like Brad Bailey concentrating solely on
income-producing properties in Austin and San Antonio should help expand our services
to our retail clients here in Austin and surrounding areas,” said Morris.
Nicolson, whose office covers the Valley, noted, “Brad will be called upon by
our existing team of Central Texas brokers to add deeper investment expertise
for the services they provide their clients. He is a very respected
Investment Broker in Central and South Texas, and we look forward to having him
add to the tradition of excellence our brokers have in the market. The timing of
Brad joining our firm could not be better. The real estate investment
market activity has increased significantly in 2011."
In this new position, Bailey will handle investment sales and marketing for
retail and commercial properties. He brings to the position extensive experience
as an investment sales broker and manager. Previously, he was associate
vice president, investment, and director of the National Retail Group for Marcus
& Millichap REIS in Austin. Bailey joined Marcus & Millichap REIS in
Houston in 2002 as a specialist in multi-tenant retail, bringing at that time
nearly a decade of experience in real estate. Bailey was named sales
manager of the Houston office in 2004. He then joined the company’s Austin and
San Antonio offices in 2005 as regional manager.
In Austin and San Antonio, Bailey directed brokerage teams that closed
over $233 million in commercial transactions, and he personally handled
more than $72 million in investment sales.
Bailey is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the
Austin Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management, for which he has
served as a guest speaker. He is an advisor to Real Estate Directory News
(REDNews) and is a member of the Real Estate Council of Austin. He earned
a bachelors degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern
California.
