WEITZMAN, CENCOR CONTINUE TO GROW IN D/FW

DALLAS/FORT WORTH— The Weitzman Group during recent months has been awarded approximately 2.9 million square feet of new project-leasing assignments in Dallas/Fort Worth. Weitzman’s sister company, property management firm Cencor Realty Services, has been awarded property management assignments totaling approximately 1 million square feet. As a result, Weitzman now is responsible for leasing more than 23 million square feet of retail space in Dallas/Fort Worth and 44 million square feet throughout Texas.

The company continues to grow by focusing on its specialty, non-mall retail projects that range from neighborhood centers, community centers, power centers and regional-draw projects. The new leasing assignments range from established centers to pr-leasing for new developments.

As the company continues to grow, Weitzman is growing its brokerage staff in Dallas/Fort Worth with the addition of seasoned brokers. Weitzman has brought on eight new associates in recent months, including two who specialize only in Tarrant County and one who specializes in Denton County.

The newest project Weitzman now leases is The Presidio on I-35W and North Tarrant Parkway. This project, a project of LNR Property Corporation of California, is designed to have 1 million SF of retail space, as well as a mix of uses.  Construction on the first phase of retail is set for this year.
