WEITZMAN NAMED LEASING AGENT FOR THE VENUE

RICHARDSON—Construction is under way on The Venue, a mixed-use project located at the northwest corner of Galatyn Parkway and Performance Drive. Upon completion in summer 2008, The Venue will feature 285 luxury apartment homes and 6,000 square feet of ground-level retail.

The Weitzman Group has been named exclusive retail leasing agent for The Venue; Bryan Grossman and Sean Alkek, associates, are responsible for leasing.

The Venue, a project of Legacy Partners, benefits from a high-profile location in the heart of Richardson’s Telecom Corridor commercial district. Major employers in proximity to The Venue include Countrywide Financial, with 3,000 jobs; Nortel, with 2,500 jobs; Verizon, with 2,000 jobs; Blue Cross Blue Shield, with a total of 4,000 jobs within the next three years; and MetroPCS, which is bringing 450 jobs to the Telecom Corridor.

In addition, the project benefits from its proximity to The Eisemann Performing Arts Center, a multi-use arts complex; the Renaissance Dallas/Richardson Hotel, a new hotel that features a 12-story garden atrium and 336 guest rooms; and the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) light rail station at Galatyn Park.

The Venue further benefits from a key location in the midst of an affluent residential market. Within a one-mile radius of the project, there are 4,438 people with an average household income of $137,304, and within a three-mile radius, there are 83,087 people with an average household income of $85,208.

The Venue will feature traditional architecture with heavy landscaping. The architect for the project is Humphreys & Partners.
