DALLAS—One Arts Plaza, now rising over the Dallas Arts District, has gained attention for its location, its architecture and the lead tenant for its office space, the world headquarters of 7-Eleven Inc.

Soon, One Arts Plaza will gain attention for its line-up of restaurants and retailers.

The Weitzman Group has been named the exclusive retail representative for the 35,000 square feet of retail space on two levels at One Arts Plaza.  Weitzman’s Earl Harris, Elizabeth Nabholtz and Marc Marrocco are responsible for leasing.

One Arts Plaza, a project of Billingsley Co., is a 24-story mixed-use office, residential and retail tower located on Routh Street at Flora, in the heart of the Dallas Arts District.

One Arts Plaza’s high-profile retail space will center around a fountain and offer specialty retail and restaurants with courtyard dining.

“The retail space at One Arts Plaza is designed as a gathering place for the Arts District,” Harris said. “We’re talking with well-known Dallas concepts that are attracted to an urban location in a high-profile project. In addition to its key location, the retail space at One Arts Plaza will offer a central courtyard highlighted by a specially designed fountain. The entire project offers a visual focal point for the Arts District and the northern end of downtown.””

The entire project will open in 2007. The retail space is designed to serve One Arts Plaza’s 489,743 square feet of office space and 65 residential homes. In addition, the retail will be patronized by Downtown and Uptown residents, as well as visitors to the Dallas Arts District. The Arts District, the largest in the country, is home to the Dallas Museum of Art, Nasher Sculpture Garden, Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, the Crow Collection of Asian Art, the Belo Mansion special events center and major projects now under way, including the Margo and Bill Winspear Opera House and the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre.

Upon completion of these projects, the Dallas Arts District  will have the only street in the world that will have buildings designed by four Pritzker Prize-winning architects. In addition, there will be more than 300 art-related events in the district annually.
