The Crossing at 518 August 28, 2006 SHOE CARNIVAL LOCATES IN THE CROSSING AT 518  HOUSTON--Shoe Carnival, a leading retailer of value-priced footwear and accessories, has leased 8,219 square feet of square feet of retail space in The Crossing at 518, a regional retail center located at the northeast corner of FM 518 and Highway 288, for a new location. The Weitzman Group handled negotiations for the lessor, The Crossing at 288 SC, Ltd. The retailer was represented by Staubach Retail Services. The Crossing at 518 is being built in phases and includes anchors JCPenney, Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy and Old Navy, as well as a Wal-Mart Supercenter. The center is a development of Cencor Realty Services. Shoe Carnival’s stores offer a wide selection of both name brand and private label merchandise. The retailer offers a unique shopping experience for the entire family that offers value pricing in a contemporary, entertaining environment. Contests, games, neon signs, flashing lights and up-tempo music produce an energized shopping atmosphere. The new location is set to open in early July.
