Cajun concept to open in Austin area

BUDA— mud bugs ~a Cajun joint~, a chef-driven Cajun cuisine restaurant offering an upscale, relaxed atmosphere, has leased 4,051 square feet of retail space in the historic Buda Mill & Grain Co. redevelopment at 306 Main Street, for its first location.

The location in downtown Buda served for more than 100 years as the Buda Mill & Grain Co., and today offers more than 30,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and office space. At the property, mud bugs joins a line-up that includes Sweet Cakes 4 U, Salon One 12, Willow Gardens Hot Yoga, Nate’s Coffee & Cocktails, Buda Bike Co. and several others.

mud bugs, set to open during the second quarter of 2020, will offer fine-dining Cajun, local craft beers with rotating taps, food pairings and more. The experienced ownership and management team has extensive restaurant experience and training in Creole, Cajun and French cooking, among other fine cuisines.
