DALLAS— Karen Mitchell, a retail brokerage professional with extensive experience, has joined Weitzman as a vice president.
In this position, Mitchell handles retail project leasing, as well as general brokerage. Prior to joining Weitzman, Mitchell served as executive vice president of brokerage and asset management for The Woodmont Company, where she handled retail project leasing, tenant representation, big box disposition and asset management. Her experience encompasses working as primary leasing and management agent for more than 20 regional and power centers in 12 states for DDR, and as manager for the sales, leasing and disposition of the vacant real estate portfolio in the Southeast for Walmart Stores, Inc.
Mitchell has been recognized numerous times by both D CEO Magazine and CoStar as a Power Broker, the designation for leading commercial real estate brokerage professionals. She is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and Dallas-based Deals in Heels.
Mitchell received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
