GRAPEVINE—The City of Grapevine today opened its stunning new Public Safety building in the expansion of landmark retail and mixed-use project Grapevine Towne Center.
The state-of-the-art art public safety facility, per the city, is home to its Police Department, Courts, Fire Administration, Information Technology Department and Logistics. The multi-story facility boasts three different buildings on one campus totaling approximately 104,000 square feet. The city also notes that Grapevine’s first responders will benefit from enhanced technology allowing them to better assist Grapevine citizens.
Mayor William D. Tate and numerous city officials officially opened the building today with a dedication and ribbon cutting. The mayor recounted the city’s history and the history of its public safety departments.
The public safety facility is located at 1007 Ira E. Woods near SH-114 on 5.88 acres on the north side of Grapevine Towne Center. The city acquired the acreage at Grapevine Towne Center from a joint venture managed by Dallas-based retail real estate firm Weitzman. Weitzman developed, leases and manages Grapevine Towne Center, one of Grapevine’s oldest and largest retail centers.
Grapevine Towne Center is located along SH-114 between William D Tate and Ira E. Woods. The center features numerous national, regional and local retailers, restaurants and services, including Target, Ross, Big Lots, Bealls, Office Depot, Haltom’s Jewelers, Visionworks, Merle Norman, Jason’s Deli, Sprint, Busy Body, Barbeques Galore, Coleman Bright Ideas for the Home, Sleep Experts, Bottlecap Alley Icehouse Grill, S&H Flooring, Ava Salon & Suites, Weight Watchers, Recept Pharmacy and many others.
Weitzman’s John Day and Doug Hermann handle leasing at Grapevine Towne Center. Weitzman manages the center under the direction of Property Manager Debra Hays.
