MESQUITE—Construction is underway on Corner Stone Plaza, a neighborhood retail center located at 125 E. Grubb Drive on a triangular site bounded by E. Grubb Drive, N. Belt Line Road and N. Bryan Belt Line Road. The center is designed for a mix of small tenants to serve the surrounding residential and commercial area, as well as the area medical district, and it will total 21,000 square feet upon completion.
Byron Howard and Giovanni Scardino with Weitzman handle project leasing for the new retail center, which is on track for completion in mid-2020.
The center, a project of locally based Brosco Group, offers frontage and visibility along the three thoroughfares that form its boundaries, as well as from major thoroughfare N. Galloway Avenue. The site benefits from the employment and traffic generated by the adjacent medical facilities, including Dallas Regional Medical Center, Texas Regional Women’s Health and Mesquite Specialty Hospital.
The center’s trade area also reports a dense residential area, with a three-mile radius that is home to approximately 91,000 residents and more than 30,000 households with an average household income of more than $73,000.
Due to the location of the center, its proximity to medical and commercial facilities and the lack of nearby retail options, the Weitzman leasing team is targeting a mix of restaurant, beauty, fitness and service tenants, as well as healthcare practices.
