TOMBALL— Captain Brad’s Coastal Kitchen, a new concept from an owner of Bluewater Seafood, has leased 5,500 square feet of retail space in Northpointe Center, a new neighborhood retail center located at 24435 Tomball Parkway (TX-249) near Northpointe Boulevard, for its first location.
Brett Levinson and Walker Kane with Weitzman handled negotiations for the restaurant. Beau Evans and Jennifer Rabon with Realty 1 represented the landlord.
Captain Brad’s is a new seafood restaurant from an owner of Bluewater Seafood, Brittney Aplin. She named the restaurant in honor of her father Brad Aplin, who opened the first Bluewater Seafood in 1996. He passed away in May 2017 after a 19-month battle with cancer. Brad was a third generation commercial fisherman and he knew how to get the best seafood, much of it from local family members who remained in the commercial seafood industry. Bluewater Seafood grew to three locations, two in Houston and one in Spring.
“My dad’s vision includes two fundamental principles: treat your guests like family, and serve them fresh seafood from local fisherman,” Brittney Aplin said. “The Captain Brad’s team is excited to bring his vision to Tomball, Texas.”
The Tomball location was selected after a year of searching for the right site, Levinson said. A second location already is in the works.
The Northpointe Center location, on Northpointe Boulevard near the Grand Parkway, is opening this year. Other concepts will include a new location for popular sports bar and grill Sammy’s Sports Grill.
