Young, Jr., is managing director of brokerage services for the Dallas/Fort Worth office of The Weitzman Group, one of the largest commercial real estate brokerage and related services firms in Texas. Young oversees general brokerage activities, coordinates project leasing with the director of leasing for Cencor Realty Services, works to increase the company's general brokerage presence and develops and expands the company's divisions specializing in income and office properties. In addition, Young handles recruitment for the DFW brokerage operation and handles internal and external marketing and promotion efforts. Prior to joining Weitzman, Young was senior managing director, south and southeast regions, for Kennedy-Wilson, where he was responsible for the DFW operations and overall brokerage activities. His extensive commercial real estate career also includes service as executive vice president and managing director in charge of the Dallas operation for Grubb & Ellis and as executive vice president for BEI Management, Inc. Organizations Young is a member of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (NTCAR) and currently is president of its board of directors. In addition, he is active in The Real Estate Council, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Urban Land Institute and the International Development Research Council. Education Young received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
