Professional Background
Michelle W. Caplan is an Executive Vice President with the
Dallas/Fort Worth Commercial Retail Division of The
Weitzman Group, which she joined in 1998. Caplan specializes
in retail project representation and retail tenant representation.
She has extensive experience working as part of the development
team on new retail projects, working with the team on
entitlements, land use, zoning issues and pre-leasing. Prior to
joining The Weitzman Group, she worked at The Shopping Center Group, Inc.,  a retail real estate company based in Atlanta, Georgia, for six years.  At The Shopping Center Group and The Weitzman Group, she has focused on tenant representation, project leasing and the disposition of excess properties for national retailers

Caplan, a consistent top producer for The Weitzman Group, has ranked in the statewide company’s Top 10 in 2000 and from 2004 through 2010. She was included into Weitzman’s Chairman’s Circle in 2007 and its President’s Circle in 2002. She earned the Cencor Broker of the Year award in 2005.
