Professional Background
Jared
Caplan is Vice President, Development with the Dallas office of Cencor Realty
Services. Prior to joining Cencor, Caplan was chief operating officer of Site
Celection, Inc., a tenant representation firm, as well as a retail real estate
agent in the Dallas market. Caplan
has served as the asset manager for more than one million square feet of
anchored and mall-peripheral shopping centers. Anchors at these projects include
Kroger, Target, Academy Sports & Outdoors, Home Depot and Tom Thumb.
Current
Projects
Caplan
works on the identification, acquisition and development of retail land
opportunities for tenant driven development. In
this position, he directs the development of new shopping centers, including
current projects in Cedar Hill, Plano, The Colony, Rowlett and Flower Mound.
Organizations
Caplan
is a member
of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the North Texas Commercial
Association of Realtors, the North Texas Certified-Commercial Investment Members
(CCIM) chapter and the CCIM Institute. In addition, he is a founding member and
secretary of the Dallas Leadership Council where he serves as the Event Chair
for the Annual Holiday Party for Dallas Citizens with Mental Retardation, is
serving a two-year term on the Dallas Council of the American Israel Political
Affairs Committee (AIPAC), sits on the stewardship committee for the Jewish
Federation, participates in the Habitat for Humanity, sits on the steering
committee for Da Vinci School.
Education/Certifications/License
Caplan
received a Bachelor and a Masters degree from Georgia State University’s
College of Business Administration with a focus on Decision Sciences and was
inducted into the Decision Sciences Honors Society.
